What is a Sound Wave?
A sound wave is a wave that is caused by vibrations and rarefraction by which sound is produced and sent to the ear for living things to hear and sense.
Definitions to Sound Waves:
- Volume- the loudness or softness of a sound
- Frequency- the number of waves that occur in a sound wave
- Pitch- the highness or lowness of a sound
- Amplitude- the size of the wave from crest to trough
- Crest- the top curve of a sound wave
- Trough- the bottom curve of a sound wave
